Today there is an issue in healthcare that is affecting the majority of Americans seeking treatment. When a patients goes to the doctor and is given a treatment suggestion their insurance should cover that treatment, right? At least that’s the way it used to work. Eventually Insurers stopped covering the full treatment bill and began to partially cover the treatments, but now the Insurers are finding ways to avoid the bill altogether. Such excuses as Outpatient Surgical Centers are allowing Insurers to dodge paying for patients care. Now these patients either need to wait until they have the money for the procedure themselves or until they have the money to pay for the procedure to be done in a hospital, which could end up with the same price tag. This is just one example of the Physician-Insurer gap but it illustrates the absurd system that is currently running the healthcare industry. Now, it seems, both patients and physicians are fed up and want change.
